San Mateo AYSO requires ALL coaches and assistant coaches to have age-specific coach certification for their division.

(You need to be a registered AYSO volunteer this season, and you will need your AYSO ID# to register for classes.)

Important Notes for Coach Training;

All Volunteer Registration must be complete, with paperwork on file. Volunteer Reg. paperwork, 2 signed copies, goes to:

Important Notes for Coach Training;

A) All coaches required to complete Safe Haven Certification every 2 years.   Online courses available at www.aysotraining.org

B) All coaches (U6/U8/U10/U12) are required to attend in-person training:
One classroom session and one field session needed for full credit and age-level Coach Certification.

D) UPPER DIVISION COACH CERTIFICATION:  (U14/U16/U19)
For Intermediate and Advanced Coach Certification, see class schedule from Area 2N AYSO (link below).  Proper age-certification required by Area for all coaches - No exceptions in 2012...

The U12, Intermediate and Advanced Coach courses are sequential, and must be taken in order.

E) Intermediate and Advanced Coach training available thru Area 2N, (http://ayso2n.org/(Email Deron Shields, Area 2N Coach Trainer, at dmshields@comcast.net for more info.)

F) Intermediate training requires attendance at the classroom and (2) field sessions for credit with a pre-requisite of a U12 certification. 

G) Advanced training requires attendance at (2) classroom and (2) field sessions for full-credit, with a pre-requisite of an Intermediate certification.
