6U and 8U Divisions

Welcome!

Your child's 6U or 8U team is looking for two trained and certified volunteer referees to officiate their matches. Without trained and certified volunteer referees, your child's team can't play on Saturdays.

For each 6U and 8U game, you and a referee from the other team work together as a team to make sure the kids are safe and have fun. This is a great opportunity to be one of only two parents who are on the field with their child.

You do not need to know anything about the "Laws of the Game". We provide the training, referee T-shirt, and whistle so you can be on the field and enjoy helping kids have fun and learn the game of soccer!

If you want to help your child by becoming a 6U or 8U Referee, register as a referee volunteer by submitting your application at www.aysosm.org. You can follow the detailed, step-by-step instructions for how to sign up as a volunteer.

6U-8U Training

Online Training

Once you have submitted your referee volunteer application, please take the required online training at AYSOU. When you complete those online courses, they will be recorded in Sports Connect.

In-Person 6U-8U Class Schedule

The 6U/8U Referee in-person classes will be offered on the following dates/times.

Location: We are holding these classes at Beresford Park (2720 Alameda de las Pulgas) at the sheltered picnic area just west of the tennis courts and north of basketball court. Nearest parking is on the street on Parkview Way or 27th Avenue.
